Ashli Hughes

is Flight Path

Originally from Oklahoma City, OK, I graduated with a BA in English Literature from Oklahoma State University. I got my start in marketing when I was living in Austin, TX back in 2005. I had a couple of radio shows on a KOOP 91.7FM, and soon after started working as a grassroots marketer for record labels. I was a street team promoter for Beggar's Group: 4AD, Rough Trade, Matador, XL recordings, and more. I loved it!

As part of that work, I also created social media campaigns for the Street Syndicate and promoted musicians and comedians. It was a ton of fun, and that momentum took me out to Los Angeles, in 2007, where I would work my way up as the website/social media manager for the Fonda Theater, in Hollywood, CA. I loved running the social media for the venue, creating newsletters, and getting the word out. Connecting people to the music and the experience was what I lived for.

However, after a few years in Los Angeles, it was time to migrate up to the Pacific NW. Once I got there, in 2010, I started taking graphic/web design classes, perfecting my skills, and eventually took a job with the Rheinlander and Gustav's restaurants as the Marketing Coordinator. It was a great learning experience and by 2015 it was time to venture into the world of freelance marketing. I started Cascade Creative PDX and began a new, exciting chapter being my own boss, and working on my small biz dream.

In December 2017, I relocated back to Austin, TX and re-branded Cascade Creative to Flight Path Creative. I'm excited to be on my old stomping grounds again. I missed the music and Tex-Mex! I'm looking for new Austin clients and would love to hear about your small business.

Local business is the flavor and soul of a city. I consider it an honor to help small business owners with their marketing needs every day. Helping their entrepreneurial spirit thrive in today's corporate America is what drives me most. If you're looking to create more awareness of your brand, please shoot me an email. I look forward to hearing about your project!

Got Tunes?

I love music. I don’t know what I’d do without it. If you need some new tunes to get through the work day, a workout, or maybe you’re hosting a dinner party and don’t want awkward silence, here are some playlists you might enjoy.

These playlists are available on Spotify.

A playlist to get thru the work day or your commute. This one will tickle your musical sweet tooth.

Your workout, commuting, cooking, working, cleaning, getting shit done, living your life mix.

Celebrate the beauty, power, strength, and resilience of Black women in music.

Collection of 90's hip hop and r&b to pump up your workout and get your sweat on.

A quiet playlist consiting of four instruments or less. Perfect for a dinner party.

A random playlist of my favorite Siouxsie and the Banshees songs. Got to see her live in 2008.
